Meet Recap

In our second meet of the season, we had a strong showing out of every runner. Every runner on the team set a new season personal record, including some who dropped three or four minutes off their last week’s time. At the varsity level, the team was led by junior captain, Anna Merten, who placed 12th overall. Close behind her was sophomore, Marleah Hilger, running to a 15th place finish in a strong field of 75 runners. Julianna Campbell took third on our team, placing 45th overall. Rounding out the varsity this week were rookie junior Nicole Wallace, junior Bri Kosiboski, sophomore Jordan Skoluda, and senior captain Lilly Thielitz.

At the JV level, junior Catie Bartnikowski led the team with a 36th place finish in a field of 113 runners. Next was freshman Mya Baumer who bested her previous time by 3 minutes, followed by junior Natalie Schumacher making her debut run of the season. Newcomer, Lydia Buehl, rounded out our finishers, dropping four minutes from the previous week.

This week our team heads to the challenging course at Timber Lee in East Troy for a Thursday night meet. Race time is 4:15.
