Girl Talk’s mission is to inspire and empower students to have a voice, be decision makers and build problem-solving skills so that they can realize their full potential. This program is able to accomplish this goal by providing students the opportunity to share their thoughts about issues that affect them and by providing them with guidance to help them make wise decisions.

Some of the topics covered include:

  • Communicating effectively with others
  • Problem solving
  • The importance of eating healthy and exercising
  • The importance of living a drug free life  
  • Keeping Violence out of my life
  • Setting short term and long term goals
  • Resisting Peer Pressure
  • Exploring post secondary options
  • Exploring career options
  • Preparing for the world of work
  • Giving Back to Our Community- Community Service Projects

Our Meetings are every Monday from 3:10 – 4:10 pm in Room 306
