Waukesha North is excited to announce the hire of Michael Goodman as our Head Girls Basketball Coach.
Coach Goodman has submitted an introductory statement below, and I will be sending out an e-mail to current basketball families with his contact information shortly.
Hello Waukesha North Players, Families, and Alumni,
My name is Michael Goodman, and I’d like to formally state how extremely excited I am to be the new Head Coach for girls’ basketball at Waukesha North. This is a tremendous opportunity, and I’m looking forward to all the growth that will be shown throughout the year, and the positive strides we will take to getting Waukesha North to a high level of production. My goal is to not only have success on the court, but also lead the girls to a positive, successful future off the court.
I have been a Head Coach in girls’ basketball in Wisconsin for the past 8 years. I spent two years as the Head Coach at Mondovi High School, a small town near Eau Claire, WI. In two years, we finished second place in the conference both years with back to back Regional Runner-ups. The past six years I’ve been the Head Coach at Brookfield East High School, and helped to rebuild Brookfield East back into a prominent program in the area, and even the state. In 6 years, we had two Regional Runner-ups, and a Regional Championship in 2016, which was the first since 2005. The youth program grew from less than 40 players on 4 teams in my first year to over 100 players on 11 teams this past season. I’ve learned a lot and met some tremendous people along the way; I’m ready for the next chapter in my coaching life at Waukesha North.
My wife, of 2.5 years, and I celebrated the birth of our first son, Bradyn, in October. We are very much looking forward to being a part of the Waukesha community.
